Kanban Replenishment
The Kanban Replenishment software add-on for Sage MAS 500 will give you the ability to perform Kanban replenishment in Mas 500. The system will calculate your optimal bin size and identify which items are good candidates for Kanban Replenishment. The system will use existing inventory usage data in MAS 500 to calculate the replenishment parameters. The system will then automatically produce a replenishment request when a bin is running low. Your buyers are then able to approve replenishment requests and process the PO that has resulted. Some of the additional features of this application include:
- Blanket Purchase Orders - You can create blanket purchase orders which will link product lines to Kanban items. Your approved bin replenishment requests will then release a purchase order from the blanket PO, containing the exact quantity of inventory items corresponding to what is required to fill the bin of that inventory item.
- Bin Replenishment - The system gives you the option of manually enter an item and warehouse or scan a bar coded kanban card to request a release from a pre-defined blanket order.
- Kanban PO Generation - After requests for bin replenishment are entered, they are placed in the line to be approved by purchasers prior to processing the PO.
- Coefficient of Variation - A Coefficient of Variation is calculated for your inventory transactions. This is done to determined the consistence of the quantity used for each inventory item, over a given time period.
- Actual vs. Calculated Bin Size - The calculated bin size is automatically generated using your historical average monthly usage divided by the Frequency of Delivery times the Usage Planning Factor, however you are able to setup a user-defined bin size to meet your needs.
- Monthly Adjustments - Shows the total adjustments for an inventory item by month.
- Frequency of Delivery - Since the system maintains all your Kanban data you are able to define the frequency of deliver for items to each warehouse location.
