Sales Forecasting/MPS
The Sales Forecasting/MPS software add-on for Sage MAS 500 will provide you with accurate sales forecasts that will help you predict how much you will sell and when. Forecasts can be maintained within the system or imported from built-in Excel templates. You can produce forecasts for any inventory item or groups of items on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly time period. The system will allow you to perform what-if analysis and import forecasts from external CRM or EDI systems. Some of the additional features of this product include:
- Forecast Criteria - You can create forecasts by item, forecast production group, salesperson, customer or any combination of the preceding. This allows you to produce both detailed and general forecasts allowing you to focus on your best customers.
- What-If Analysis - Create master and alternative forecasts for what-if analysis.
- MRP Calculations - MAS 500 can use either historical demand or forecasted demand to produce sales forecasts, meaning MRP can be driven by projected demand calculations.
- Demand Smoothing - You can smooth forecasts into differing demand periods, and can be weighted on different periods.
- Historical References - To aid your planners when preparing sales forecasts, the system will display previous forecasts as a reference on the Forecast Maintenance Screen.
- Actual vs. Forecast - The Forecast Maintenance Screen will show you previous forecasts and actual sales histories, so planners can review how accurate their forecasts were.
- Roll Forward - You are able to roll forward unconsumed, forecasted demand to future MRP periods.
