Work Order Progress Returns

The Work Order Progress Returns software add-on for Sage MAS 500 will allow you to return quantities and costs posted in error, to the proper work orders. The system will return all data of cost and quantity, incorrectly entered, back to WIP. The system will automatically reverse previously backflushed material or labor transactions. This will in turn eliminate dozens of inventory and general ledger adjustments to correct the inaccurate progress entries. Some of the additional features available with this add on are:

• Labor Progress Transaction Look-up - You can look up labor transactions for the progress steps on the Work Order Progress Entry screen. The look up is filtered so that only progress step transactions will be shown.
• Employee ID - Employee ID's are recorded when entering work order progress returns, in case you have a different employee processing return than the employee who posted the original progress transaction
• Inventory Transactions - The system will reduce your on-hand inventory quantities for the finished good being returned. This is done by returning these quantities back to WIP.
• General Ledger Transactions - Your general ledger will automatically be corrected to the previous progress entry posting when processing a return.
• Cost Variance Transactions - If you don't use standard cost pricing, the Work Order Progress Returns software will calculate the variance of costs between the time of the return and the original posting of the labor transaction. The variance will then be attributed to the progress step.
• Mutiple Parts Produced - The system is fully capable of supporting multiple parts produced per work order.
