Sub Work Orders

The Sub Work Orders software add-on for Sage MAS 500 will give your job shop/made-to-order manufacturing company the ability to link work orders for finished goods to their required component work orders. This will allow you to see the relationship between the work orders, and the affect it has buying and scheduling for each job. This link gives you the ability to perform accurate work order scheduling, ensuring that all orders are completed on time. Whether you are a made to stock or made to order manufacturer, you can find a benefit in creating relationships between finished goods and component work orders. Some of the additional features of the system include:

• Work Order Numbering - Work orders for components or sub work orders, us the same work order number as the parent work order with an appended number (i.e. parent work order is number 1000, sub work orders are numbered 1000-1, 1000-2, etc).
• Work Order Creation - You can generate sub work orders when the finished good work order is created, from the same work order screen, allowing you to enter all related work orders simultaneously
• Scheduling Benefits - You are able to schedule sub work orders to be completed prior to the final assembly
• Purchasing Benefits - Your purchasing department can see all links between related work orders. This will help them to determine when to buy which materials, and how many to buy.
• Reporting Benefits - Run reports for a range of work order numbers, allowing you to view WIP, Job Cost, and other details across all linked work orders.
