Enhanced Labor Entry
The Enhanced Labor Entry software add-on for Sage MAS 500 will give you many features to streamline your labor entry processes. This solution is perfect for any company that has their staff complete paper job tickets which are then entered into the system. The Enhanced Labor Entry system for MAS 500 contains a multi-functional labor entry grid which will allow you to quickly enter multiple labor tickets in a single batch. All labor entries in a batch can be viewed and approved by management before posting the transactions to work in process, the general ledger or job cost files. Some of the additional features of this software include:
- Labor Validation Rules - The system allows you to setup acceptable tolerances for many labor-related process, such as: labor/machine efficiency, scrap quantity, run hours, down time, and setup time for both current and to-date transactions.
- Material Validation Rules - Use rules to validate that material issues are not over/under issued by a specific percentage based on predefined routing standards.
- Labor Reports - Sort and filter labor reports by labor entry batch, which can be useful in reviewing batch entries prior to posting and after the batch has been processed
- Lean Manufacturing - The system will support error-proofing by allowing you to setup rules that will providing warnings when users are potentially entering invalid data into the system.
- Grid Defaults - The defaults in Enhanced Labor Entry allow you to easily tab to the most important information in time entry, saving your staff hours, and increasing efficiencies.
- Labor Sequence - You can define work flows by using the step complete rules. This will ensure that labor is not entered until the previous step has been marked as complete
- Rule Severity - You are able to setup each rule with a different level of severity. For instance some rules may just result in a warning to the user that they have violated a rule, while others will require a supervisor to override violations.
- Cascading/Multiple Rules - Setup different levels of severity for a single rule, for instance if a employee enters 3 hours for a task they may get a warning, while entering 4 hours for the same task will require supervisor approval.
- Completed Transactions - Apply rules only to completed transactions so that employees cannot enter labor hours for a transaction that is already marked as complete.
