1040 Review™ works along side your tax preparation software to enable you as a tax practitioner to work more efficiently and add value to your services.
After initially preparing the return as you normally would, 1040 Review™ provides an analysis. It looks for compliance issues including IRS "red flags", identifies tax planning ideas, and displays Compare Typical Graphs which compare the client's data to averages for their income range and business code on Schedule C. Many firms bill separately for a 1040 Review analysis and give the client a copy of the report. Others include it as part of their internal quality review process. Using it during the off season can help generate other engagements.
The program has been designed to run side by side with any tax preparation software. Data can be entered manually or imported from Lacerte® and other selected tax programs (email us for current list of supported programs).
