PerpetualBudget is a fully configurable distributed budgeting application. It runs as a Windows application and as a child process in Microsoft Excel. It is supported by a program managed database. The product is unique in it's ability to achieve distributed networking from the admin user desktop through the use of programmatic control of all system components.
PerpetualBudget is fully integrated with Microsoft Office to create a powerful budgeting, planning and forecasting solution. It provides a XML interface to QuickBooks and integrates with all accounting programs through the use of mapped import/export spreadsheets.
The product has powerful yet simple modeling algorithms to accommodate most budgeting structures. Data can be entered or retrieved through direct communications with the system database or through the use of program created spreadsheets. This duality between the Windows interface and spreadsheets allows full participation to the budget system for both Administrators and Budget Managers.
The Worksheet-On-Demand capability provides a fast and easy method to re-publish the budget documents when structure changes occur. Documents produced by the program can be used for both reporting and updating.
The system database can be hosted on the network to allow secure access for members of the Financial Team. Accounts for team members have permission levels to provide greater data security.
A new feature of PerpetualBudget (4.5) is the Vendor Control Module. This allows outsourced purchase orders to be tracked back to the overall budget to control funding requests, approvals, commitments and expenditures.
