B2PCommerce Corp(Business to Public Sector) grew out of the pioneering work on benchmarking and performance measurement at the Center for What Works, a national nonprofit organization. Launched in 1994, the Center studied how leading management practices could be translated from the business sector to the nonprofit/public sector. In the course of the Center's work, it became clear that many nonprofit/public sector organizations wanted to improve their performance, but lacked the specialized business tools to do so. B2P was launched in 2000 to meet that need, and in the process, dramatically increase the efficiency, performance and accountability in nonprofit organizations.
