Argos Software develops, markets and supports business accounting software in "vertical markets," where we have specific expertise. Our software is proven... we have been developing software since 1979. ABECAS : Activity Based Enterprise Cost Accounting System, is built upon a powerful yet flexible financial and operational management accounting base. This includes both accrual and cash-basis accounting.
Our product includes core accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Fund Accounting and communications (e-mail and fax services). Payroll may be added to the core accounting group. EDI capabilities may also be added to the communications system.
Industry specific packages, for example warehousing, logistics, transportation, nursery, landscaping, mining, service providers, contracting, utilities, distribution, etc. are then added to the core accounting to provide the vertically integrated product each company needs to carry on its operations.
We have two versions of the software. One version, ABECAS Insight, is Component-based in a Windows environment. ABECAS Insight is a client-server system. It requires Microsoft SQL Server® (Version 7/2000 installed on a Windows server) as its back end database and operates under Windows on a Windows NT/2000 or Novell network using a TCP/IP protocol. System requirements may be secured by calling Argos Software.
The second version is ABECAS 5.x. This is a character-based system which runs on Windows workstations in a networked environment.
