Inventory Control

General Info The General Info section is where you store, as the name suggests, general item info. This will include a 20 digit part number, and unlimited descriptions for purchasing, selling, standard cost, retail price and special ordering notes. Each item can be grouped into categories defined by you, for easy searching. And bin locations displayed contain the bin or stacking area where an item is located in your warehouse. By specifying the product Type, you are enabling the system to determine whether to track this item strictly or not. The two types are real inventory and supply items. Supply items are items such as: warehouse consumables, very small parts (nails or rivets), rolled items (tape or wire), truck consumables (oil or cleaners) and other parts or supplies for which you want to create purchase orders, or even sell to a customer, but don't want to track the quantity on-hand, or be required to count.

Accessories With Nextsoft Inventory you are able to link items to the accessories or parts that make it up. This allows your team to better identify what's needed for replacement parts, or to up-sell optional add-ons to a product.

Pricing You are able to set up to five price levels (in addition to the retail price level) for each part, allowing you to properly discriminate prices. Past purchase prices are automatically cataloged so you can easily identify which vendors offer the best price.

Serial Numbers This product is fully capable of performing serialized tracking of inventory.

History/Cost Register Since all transactions are processed in real-time, you will always have access to current cost and availability information. This section will show you a running total of current on-hand, actual cost, average cost and transaction information (type, date, ID).
