IFS/Supplier Schedules™ is ideal for high-volume manufacturing environments with a continuous and high-volume flow of order information. The component improves administrative efficiency by reducing the number of transactions requiring user input. For example, the component allows users to communicate up-to-date material requirements to suppliers with a minimum of transactions. In addition, the component makes it easier to generate, approve, and release schedules, with several delivery pattern options.
Normally, a supplier schedule includes a business agreement, or contract, and a regular schedule of requirements that extends to a future date. In IFS Applications, these requirements are automatically generated by MRP, based on net demand.
