Since no two builders have the same philosophy on processing and tracking
warranty items, Constellation Service easily adapts to a variety of service
department styles with built-in flexibility to manage information more
effectively in seven key areas.
- Service request item coding: The item code listing is fully customizable to provide any level of tracking
detail desired.
- Item description field: If necessary, supplement the item codes with the item description field to add
more detailed explanations or documentation of the problem.
- Notes field: Documentation is the key to minimizing your exposure to litigation and
unresolved problems. A separate notes field is attached to every service request
to log important information.
- Disposition codes: User defined disposition codes may be used to document the outcome of a
request item. A record of warranty items or items fixed by the homeowner can
also be maintained with these codes.
- Aging intervals: Gauge response time based on your own aging criteria. The system
accommodates up to four aging intervals.
- Re-sale buyer tracking: Work on the homes you build does not always end when the original warranty
